Assistant Manager- Floor Covering

Position
Summary:
Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring customers receive exceptional service from the moment they walk into the showroom through the completed job. You will work closely with the owner and contractors to make sure customer needs are met. Also, you will look for ways to improve and grow the overall customer experience in the store.
General Duties:
-Responsible for assisting customers in showroom
-Helps with ordering material when needed
-Manage Customer complaints
-Process Claims
-Receives material from vendors
-Manage Contractors
-Assist in accurately measuring and bidding jobs when needed
-Schedules jobs with customers and coordinates with contractors
-Sends out customer satisfaction surveys and follows up with customers after jobs are completed
- Uses computer database to research availability of merchandise and coordinate shipping to process orders
- Follows up timely and professionally with customers on all requests or problems
- Assist with light daily showroom maintenance
-Helps with the warehouse duties including organizing, staging material for contractors.
- Participate in on-going training to increase product knowledge
Requirements:
-Excellent Customer Service and Management Skills
-Knowledge of Flooring (installation and product knowledge) is a MUST ( Carpet, Hardwood, Vinyl, Laminate etc)
-Training will be provided
-Honest and Dependable
-Good Computer Skills
-Forklift experience
-Able to lift 50
Pounds at times
Compensation:
- Depends on ExperienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
