As a Administrative Officer your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Administer fund targets, reports accomplishments and participates in management reviews and year-end closeouts. - Serve as the organizational leadership's advisor in personnel matters, coordinating organization needs with personnel office requirements, and provide the specialized knowledge needed to effectively initiate personnel actions. - Responsible for overall organizational procurement activities. Advise and assist in determining needs and acquiring equipment, supplies, materials, and repair services on the basis of necessity and availability of funds. Provide guidance and/or personally prepare procurement documents, determine appropriate sources, conduct market research, and prepare justifications as necessary. - Coordinate with FWS and Departmental Information Technology Specialists for organizational network connectivity, security compliance, and software/hardware inventory. Promotion Potential:
This position involves a multi-grade career ladder. The major duties listed represent the full performance level of GS-11. At lower grade levels, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-11. Only experience and education obtained by 11/20/2020 will be considered. To qualify for GS-9, you must possess one of the following:
A. Possess one full year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-07 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of such experience include:
1) providing administrative support to an organization on essential systems (e.g., recordkeeping, payroll administration, initiating human resource hiring actions, etc.); 2) managing the acquisition of supplies, equipment, services, etc. for an organization in accordance with regulations and local policies; 3) conducting portions of financial, management or program analyses and documenting findings, issues, and recommendations; 4) providing guidance to managers and staff on financial, budgetary or administrative topics including regulations and guidelines. NOTE:
To qualify under this option, your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year GS-07 or equivalent experience performing these types of duties. B. Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position; examples of qualifying fields include business administration, finance, law or similar C. Have an equivalent combination of specialized experience and directly related graduate level education as described in A and B above that, when computed as percentages of their respective requirements, equals at least 100% when combined. Only graduate education beyond the first year is creditable to meet this standard. To qualify for GS-11, you must possess one of the following:
A. Possess one full year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-09 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of such experience include:
1) preparing budget estimates or justifications for an organization; 2) monitoring an organization's budget to ensure that obligations, expenditures, and requested allotments stay within approved funding limitations; 3) managing the acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services for an organization in accordance with regulations and local policies; 4) providing administrative support to an organization (e.g., procuring needed supplies or services, initiating human resource hiring actions, payroll administration, IT support coordination, etc.); 5) conducting financial, management or program analyses and documenting findings, issues, and recommendations; 6) leading/directing or managing the work of a support staff on financial, budgetary or administrative topics. NOTE:
To qualify under this option, your resume must contain sufficient detail to prove you have one year experience equivalent to the GS-09 level performing these duties B. Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in a related field. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position; examples of qualifying fields include business administration, finance, law or similar. C. Possess an equivalent combination of specialized experience and directly related graduate level education as described in A and B above that, when computed as percentages of their respective requirements, equals at least 100% when combined. Only graduate education beyond the second year is creditable to meet this standard. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
